Russian awards include the following: Order of Alexander Nevsky, Order of Friendship, order of Honour, Order for Services to the Fatherland (IV Class); Certificate of Honour of the Russian Federation; Medal for Impeccable Work and Excellence (I Class); and the P.A.Stolypin Medal (I Class). He was awarded the Russian Federation State Prize in Science and Technology.
International awards include the following: France’s highest distinction, the Legion of Honour, Grand Decoration of Honour in Gold with Star for Services to the Republic of Austria; The Order of Dostyk (Friendship) (II Class), Kazakhstan’s highest award, Grand Officer of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic, Spain’s Order for Civil Merit in the Grand Cross Class, and the Order of St. Sava, (I Class).
